f99637285a GCC-7: fix segfault in static init
seemingly this code was brittle: GCC-7 treats int64_t as long,
which leads to preferring the template specialisation over the
explicit version of the operator* -- which means the template
instantiation invokes itself.

8cb67fd9fa Library: inline the thread operation when possible
The Lumiera thread-wrapper accepts the operation to be performed
within the new thread as a function object, function reference or lambda.
Some of these types can be directly instantiated in the threadMain
function, and thus possibly inlined altogether. This is especially
relevant for Lambdas. OTOH, we can not instantiate function references
or bound member functions; in those cases we fall back to using a
std::function object, possibly incurring heap allocations.

a19a79b611 Library: modernise thread invocation
the operation to run within the thread can be passed through as lambda;
and with the help of C++11 perfect forwarding we can get rid of the
temporary ThreadStartContext entirely, which removes a lot of
pass-through argument copying

obsoleted by C++11

 * in most cases, it can be replaced by an explicit conversion operator
 * especially for the Lumiera Forward Iterators, we need an implicit conversion

9c21164ae6 Doxygen Fixes (#1062)
This changeset fixes a huge pile of problems, as indicated in the
error log of the Doxygen run after merging all the recent Doxygen improvements

unfortunately, auto-linking does still not work at various places.
There is no clear indication what might be the problem.
Possibly the rather unstable Sqlite support in this Doxygen version
is the cause. Anyway, needs to be investigated further.

bae3d4b96f mark a solution how to create a safeguard against deadlock on session shutdown
....if by some weird coincidence, a command dispatched into the session
happens to trigger session shutdown or re-loading, this will cause a deadlock,
since decommissioning of session data structures must wait for the
ProcDispatcher to disable command processing -- and this will obviously
never happen when in a callstack below some command execution!

b6e7caf737 Guistart(#1045): relocate opening of GuiNotification into the CoreServices
up to now this happened from the GuiRunner, which was a rather bad idea
- it can throw and thus interfer with the startup process
- the GuiNotification can not sensibly be *implemented* just backed
by the GuiRunner. While CoreService offers access to the necessary
  implementation facilities to do so

974c670d41 fix **** in doxygen comments
to make them stand out more prominently, some entity comments
where started with a line of starts. Unfortunately, doxygen
(and javadoc) only recogise comments which are started exactly
with /**

This caused quite some comments to be ignored by doxygen.
Credits to Hendrik Boom for spotting this problem!

a344604f1b Clang(#928): adjustments regarding scope and visibility
Clang doesn't allow to declare a private nested class as friend.
This is unfortunate, but likely correct to the letter of the standard.

As a workaround, now we're creating the instances within a static
function of DependencyFactory -- in the end this improves readability

A second issue fixed with this changeset is the scope of the
marker function. Clang is right, this isn't ADL, thus an inline
friend definition is simply not visible outside the class.
